Are they actually puzzle pieces?
Answer
Yes, the pieces come from on average 30 different puzzles. The puzzles are gathered for either color or conceptual value. The majority of the puzzles are collected from thrift stores or purchased online.
Do you paint the pieces?
Answer
No, they are sometimes cut to shape. It is important to me that the image on the puzzle is directly pulled from the box from which it came.
Where do your compositions come from?
Answer
The concepts or compositions usually come from dreams. Sometimes a particular puzzle pieces which I find beautiful will inspire or influence the composition.
